We had a crazy, busy weekend this past weekend. Jeff's Grandma Jan turns 90 this week so the family planned a birthday party at Jeff's cousin Jenny's home. Since Jeff had to work a full day on Friday we opted for the early Sat. morning departure rather than arrive midnight on Friday night. We loaded the kids in the car at 3:45 a.m. and made it to Newport Beach by 10:00 a.m. for the 11:00 a.m. party. This is a great way to travel with kids since they go back to sleep (as do I!), but it's pretty brutal for Jeff who does the driving.
We spent a great day with all of the family. Check out the picture in the photostream of Grandma Jan with her great grandchildren. All told there were 24 extended family members and tons of old friends and neighbors at the party. Grandma Jan is an amazing lady and it was great to spend a day celebrating her.
