Onslaught!

Thursday afternoon it was hot, hot hot! Mother Nature traditionally waits for the first week of school to have a Northern California heat wave and this week was no exception. Taking advantage of the hot weather, Jeff's vacation and the no homework the first week of school , our little band of five had a blast in the backyard with an epic water battle. It was a doozy. Jeff is never one to coddle the kids during play and this was no exception. He has just as much fun as they do and it was so fun to watch them, hard to catch them in pictures, but really fun to watch! I love watching the dynamics as the kids eventually go from a crazy free for all to gang up on Dad approach. They strategize and sacrifice themselves for the good of the team. Everyone, including me eventually, ended up completely soaked and hanging out in our kiddie pool. :)
