Halloween Pics

Better Late Than Never Right?

Halloween!!

We had a fabulous night.  Lizzie was Mulan of the Disney Princess variety.  Cooper opted for year # 2 of being the Grim Reaper, but without the mask or any face paint.  He's a friendly sort of reaper, I guess.  Nate chose another Bakugan character (one of his favorite toy/show/video games series).  I believe he was Shun this year vs. Dan last year.  Love those high end polyester costumes.

Our neighbors, whom we refer to simply as The J's (all four members have "J" first names) have started a yearly BBQ on their driveway.  Anyone on the street with children is invited and it's always fun. Hot dogs, salads, punch, cupcakes and games. The kids love it and the adults too.  Then we trick-or-treat together in one massive clump.  It has grown to about 16 kids- ages fifteen months to twelve years.  I love that Cooper and Jamie (the oldest) stroll along with even the smallest kids on the street.  We usually make it around two blocks total.

My parents, once again, made our lives much easier by coming over to have dinner with us and then handing out candy at our house.  This way Jeff and I can both trick or treat with the kids and all the neighbors instead of one of us staying home.  We both love walking around the with our group of 16 kids and 20+ adults.  It's such a fun neighborhood tradition.
