The day before school began Jeff and I took the kids over the hill for a day in Santa Cruz. We spent the morning riding roller coasters and rides and then after lunch changed into beach clothes and headed down to the sand.
Most schools in our area started school on Monday, August 24. Our school district started on Tuesday, August 25. We took advantage of this and spent the day at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk without a crowd. It was the perfect way to squeeze out the last bit of summer.
