Here we are after our approval. We are all so proud. Lizzie grasped barely that this ceremony was all about her, but she wasn't too sure why. That's okay. Someday we'll be able to show her all these pictures and tell her it's the day she became an official Californian.

Many years ago, my husband adopted my son (from a prior marriage) and we stood in that exact spot with that same judge. It was a magic moment! Congratulations to you and your family. Lizzie was yours already but now she's even moreso!
