This is Lizzie and her best friend, A, who lives right next door. How lucky can we be? Right before we came home from China new neighbors moved in and they had a baby daughter whose birthday was just three weeks after Lizzie. Over two and half years these two have forged a tight friendship and get along famously. They have recently developed the skills of asking (actually more like demanding incessantly) playdates daily since it's so convenient. Who could blame them? Wouldn't anyone want to play with their best friend all day, every day if they could?
I know in other parts of the country raking leaves happened long ago. But in California we are just hitting what others might consider late fall. It's winter for us of course. A's dad has been raking daily for awhile and Friday made an excellent pile for the girls to destroy. Destroy they did for about an hour. It was pretty fun to watch. How great is that?! It is funny that Charlie and Lizzie both have best friends with the same name. Leaf jumping sounds like a blast!
