Backyard Progress

We spent this Saturday making our backyard green!!  It's been a dirt patch for quite awhile.  We've been very busy this summer and haven't had a lot of free weekends at home.  This weekend was wide open so we booked delivery of sod for 8:00 a.m. Saturday. 

It was a family affair.  Jeff carried the sod rolls, Nate pulled sod rolls in wagon, Lizzie was the official "roller" which meant she stood by and unrolled every roll and Cooper and I were in charge of maneuvering the sod into place without any gaps.  After about 7 pieces of sod, Cooper said, "Okay Mom...the novelty of sod has officially worn off."  Luckily for him we only had 62 more pieces of sod to go.

Needless to say, we ate lunch and dinner in the new backyard.  Jeff and I even invited our next door neighbors over for a glass or two of wine after dinner too.  We just couldn't get enough of sitting in our backyard.
