Opening Ceremonies Parade

Opening Ceremonies Parade

Yesterday marked the beginning of the T-Ball season. We stood out in chilly weather and cheered as Nate's team The Cubs walked in the parade. We sat valiantly through the long winded guest speaker of the Opening Ceremonies(ex Pro Giant player that offered to answer EVERY question from a whole field of kids! Ack!). We half heartedly clapped for the first pitch and then collected our kids and headed for donuts. Then in the afternoon we watched Nate's first game. Nate has matured quite a bit from last year. He didn't spend any time drawing pictures in the sand when he played pitcher this time! Progress. Jeff and I, of course, want to support our children in any pursuit they want to try. However, Jeff reminded me yesterday that this was probably our 61st T-Ball game we've sat through and let me tell you, they are not the most exciting of games. Don't tell the baseball community please-we'd be strung up for sure. GO CUBS! See? I'm trying...
