Monday, I was able to go on Cooper's 2nd grade field trip to Santa Teresa Regional Park. It's an old south San Jose ranch that now has been made into a park with lots of trails, but also an old barn and equipment and chickens too. We learned a lot of history of the area, played games, and went on a pretty decent hike after lunch. It was a beautiful day and the kids all had a great time. The hike let me know that I am REALLY out of shape and need to get it in gear. Cooper's teacher asked for a volunteer parent to take the rear so none of the kids would fall behind and I assured him that I would naturally fall into this position!
