Weekend Adventure in the Snow
Jeff and I took the boys up to the snow for the long weekend. Jeff has family that has a cabin just 45 minutes from Sierra Summit Ski Resort and we traditionally spend this weekend with his parents, aunt, uncle and if we are lucky some cousins too. This weekend we got very lucky! The four of us had a fun filled visit with one set of grandparents, an aunt, uncle, four adult cousins and even a little baby second cousin (or cousin- once- removed..I can never remember how that goes!) We had TONS of snow. It snowed the whole weekend. In fact it took us three hours longer to get there Friday night than it usually does. It was beautiful. Just gorgeous powder. Cooper spent hours playing and shoveling. Nate fell madly in love with Jeff's cousin's girlfriend (who is about 20 years too old for him) and followed her around for two days straight. We barely saw him.
Cooper really "got" skiing this year and was able to cruise quite comfortably on green runs and even mastered a blue run. Nate went up on the chair lift for the first time and did some skiing with mom and dad on either side. We had a blast. The weather was great, the company was better and the weekend flew by.
We just wish Lizzie could have been with us. But hopefully this week we will hear some news about Travel Notices and that will mean she will be with us very soon. We are going on three and half weeks since our referral! So in theory we could be 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 weeks away from heading to China!

Sounds like a great trip. And you guys really got some snow. Whooooeeee!!! We even got a tiny bit down here in the bay area.
Not too much longer until you hear about your TA, and it's so fun to pass the time reading about Stacey's trip in the meantime. :-)
