Lizzie is our artist.
She loves art.
Drawing, sketching, painting, coloring,
...you name it, she loves to do it.
And she's pretty good.
Her teacher grabbed me a few weeks ago to let me know she had chosen Lizzie's art to be displayed in the school office.
The lesson had been about Giuseppe Archimboldo.
He was an artist who used fruits and veggies to depict his subjects.
This is Lizzie's take on his style in a self portrait.
I love all the detail. I think my favorite is the corn.
Or the kiwi eyes. Or the upside down broccoli neck. I really can't decide. When this picture makes it home, it's a framer for sure.
