Lizzie Turns 5

Lizzie's birthday weekend just passed us by.  We started off with a lovely, little birthday party on Friday evening.  I highly recommend the Friday evening party if you can pull it off.  It sets a fun tone for the weekend, but you don't spend your whole weekend working on a birthday party.

Anyhoo, we decided to have Lizzie's birthday party somewhere besides our house since we still have mud for a back yard.  As Jeff puts it, we "out-sourced" the party.  I found an adorable little cooking school locally that caters to kids.  Lizzie invited six friends and her brothers and they made their own pizza and decorated cupcakes and just had a grand ol'e time.  I was very impressed with how well the kids followed directions and concentrated.  They really enjoyed measuring, mixing, chopping, pouring, rolling, pounding, spreading, ripping, sprinkling and finally, of course, eating!  It was a delightful evening.

Here are a few (actually a ton) of pictures...
