My Aunt Mary Evelyn and Uncle Paul from Memphis, Tennessee are visiting this week so we've been spending quite a bit of time with them. Yesterday we had a morning at the park and today we spent most of the day in Big Basin State Park. It was the kids first trip and they had so much fun running and climbing and exploring the redwood trees, much like I did as a child with my brother. I have such fond memories of Big Basin it was fun to see my kids enjoy it so much. The only downside to all their joyful fun? They were giggling, screeching and hollering so much we scared off any bit of wildlife that might have been around.
